As a singing pianist I have participated in several church wedding ceremonies and can assure that singing and music give an outlet for the emotions on the big day.
I like to contact the bride and groom early in the planning process to help them with song selection and find the place for the music in the order of the wedding.
Many people don’t want to go with the traditional song choice and choose music of different genres such as jazz or rock. Genres can vary between pop, rock, jazz, folk music, classical music, etc.
The musical program during the wedding ceremony in the church can look like this: welcome music (before the welcome speech), 1-2 songs during the ceremony, closing music, wedding march. If you choose to get married in a civil ceremony you can design your wedding exactly as you want. I will meet your wishes regarding the choice of music and I am happy to discuss the structure of the music program during the wedding.
